How to adult pt. 2

Hello lovely people!

Happy Monday!

Here’s your weekly dose of Bulgarian wisdom 😀

We all grow up with the question: “What do I want to be when I grow up?” asked by our parents. We all come up with sometimes unrealistic ideas of who we want to become and what our dream job should be. We all stress about planning the future and being adults. We are all going with the flow when sometimes we need to swim against the current.

Well, let me tell you something…

I’m a 22-year-old girl, who has NO clue whatsoever who she wants to be and what she wants to spend the rest of her life doing. I’m a 22-year-old woman, who was thought to always put 100% into everything she did, and therefore, never managed to find out what her true passion is. I’m a 22-year-old person, who constantly overthinks everything. I’m a 22-year-old individual, too scared to leave everything behind and explore different possibilities because she’s scared of letting down and disappointing her parents. (even though she’s miles away) I’m a 22-year-old Bulgarian, who speaks and writes in English because she finds it too hard to express herself in her own mother tongue.

Here’s a fun fact for you:

Not knowing what you want to do with your life is OK!

Not having a plan is OK!

It took me a while to realise that the only person I need to be afraid of disappointing is myself. Life is too short for doubting yourself. Life is too short for not taking the risk to explore, learn, re-invent yourself. Life is too short to not be kind!

I don’t know much.

I certainly don’t know what the future holds for me… but I’m ready. Are you?!

All I know is that I want to be:

free – free to be myself, be weird, be awkward, be shy, be energetic, be crazy, be tired…;

help people

drive change – starting from myself, starting from TODAY

make an impact – do something that will benefit others, not yourself. (it’s quite simple, once you try)

be HAPPY!

… ohh and loads of coffee ❤

The lesson is to just be yourself. Be proud of who you are, appreciate everything you have, and don’t give in to negativity. You can do it!

That’s all from me for today.

Your little Monday motivation speech has come to an end.. (there’ll be more to follow 🙂 )

Go. Be wild. Live. Laugh. Explore. Be kind.

Have a lovely week!

Much love,

Dan x

P.S. Let me know if you relate to this in the comments. I’m here for you!
